The conflicts between knowledge and feelings. Two human organs that influence human behavior.
Urban legend refers to the heart as a synonym to love and kindness. But it can also be seen also as a weakness. When one refers to the brain, he thinks of something “rational”. But most of the times a high IQ doesn’t express Humanness.
There is a critical link between the heart and the brain. The heart constantly maintains a dialogue with the brain. Our emotions translate the signals that the brain sends to the heart and the heart responds in complex ways.
While emotions overwhelmingly drive behavior, it is misguided to believe that thinking and feeling are somehow mutually exclusive. Emotion and logic are intertwined. Wisdom is this noble ability to create a hierarchy of values.
